Simulates and optimizes the arrangements of the multi-split air conditioning outdoor units for a super high-rise building using CFD method. A key factor of a successful outdoor unit scheme is taking the measures to reduce or avoid the adverse influence of the thermal buoyancy effect on the outdoor units operating environment. The simulation results indicate that adopting measures of the side air inlet channel, outdoor units dislocation and deleting placement can reduce and almost cut off the influence of the thermal buoyancy effect, which significantly improves the outdoor units operating environment. Installing the outdoor units on the refuge floor is a reasonable method to avoid the thermal buoyancy accumulative effect. In addition, studies the effect of the air velocity on the outdoor units operation.
